Eggs - The depth of simplicity & the joy of cooking

So I bought a dozen eggs today, and it got me thinking: how can something so stupidly simple be the base of countless recipes and enjoyed by people everywhere? The first thing I learn how to make was boiled eggs, and now there's not a week that that goes by that I don't consume an egg in some form. Amazing how something so cheap can be so versatile.
